2013-2014In 2014 the Swiss Law on Therapeutic Products has been revised. The ISA Foundation has closely followed these developments and actively supported the process through exchanges with experts.

The ISA Foundation, through an incisive and successful move, had to intervene in order to prevent a last minute change in the legal text submitted to the parliament that foresaw a trade barrier for direct import of Asian medicines into Switzerland,
Since 2014The ISA Foundation has actively supported the Swiss Ayurveda Association in the regulatory work for the recognition of Ayurveda in the new professions in Switzerland.
2014In an official report at the attention of the CHUV in Lausanne, ISA replied to questions raised by Swiss authorities concerning the risks of Ayurveda practices and the quality of Ayurvedic products, partly as a result of the Saper articles published in the US. Prof. Dr. P. de Grandi and Dr Simone Hunziker made a brief literature review exposed in the report.
A deeper study on rasashastra and quality assurance of ayurvedic products in the form of a complete literature review leading to a published scientific paper can constitute a future ISA project.
Since 2013Members of the ISA Foundation are regularly participating as speakers in conferences mainly in India and in Europe including international congresses (see News, illustrated press file and photo gallery). The aim is to promote Ayurveda as a medical system with respect to its traditional principals and to propagate it with the help of the Swiss regulatory model.
2013ISA President Dr S. Hunziker was invited to Riga, Latvia, as an official speaker in a conference and interactions with high officials to launch Ayurveda on an official level in the country. After the presentation of the Swiss regulatory model for Ayurveda the Latvian Ministry of Health agreed in promoting Ayurveda which got integrated in the official program of Continuous Medical Education for physicians in Latvia.
2017
The ISA Foundation, represented by Franz Rutz, has been invited to present the Swiss regulatory model in a conference in Poland aiming at institutionalising Ayurveda as a medical system in the country.
2014In January 2014 ISA has organised a local conference in collaboration with Arya Vaidya Pharmacy in Coimbatore (see photo gallery) in order to present and launch its different Indo-Swiss collaboration projects.
